USMC MARPAT Woodland CapKnown as the 'utility cover' or 'utility cap' this design was first introduced in World War 2. It came to be associated with the marine raiders through their widespread use of it in combat. Current marines wear the 8 pointed cover creased and peaked to give a solid and sharp appearance.
