Black Stoneware Seashell VaseThis one of a kind vessel was handbuilt using thick clay coils. When leatherhard, I cover the surface with porcelain slip, then incise lines to create the patterns. I then fill the lines with earth oxides to enhance the contrast on the white background. I finish the piece using hand applied rich,transparent glazes giving the surface a nice tension and lovely hand. This piece is appx 10. 5" tall and appx 8" wide. It's unique and fits beautifully in
