Reserved for Kay - A Large Saltglaze Bacuss Jar.A Large and very rare Saltglaze jar dedicated to the God Bacuss. This jar dates to 1820 1830 AD,and shows scenes on either side of a drunken Bacuss. This leads you to believe that this jar may have been used to hold and dispense ale in a tavern. Rare and interesting. In overall excellent condition but has some old hairline firing cracks to the Base and lip as shown. Ex. Yorkshire Collection. As with all of my antiquities and coins this item comes
