06-17: Westar Energy Cooling Tower RebuildsThe purpose of this paper is to detail the activities which took place before and during the reconstruction of the (2) cooling towers of Unit #3 during the months of October and November of 2005. The paper identifies the activities and justification involved leading up to this replacement as well as the procedures performed to actually demolish and rebuild these (2) towers during a 5 week outage.
